About me:

I am Mehran Farahraz. I was born on November 13, 1983 in Tehran. My father is a retired military man and my mother, a retired school teacher. My childhood was spent in a military base and from the very beginning, I became interested in electronics and computer. I completed my high school studies in Mathematics and graduated in Computer Hardware from university and then I entered the computer and IT market.

Professional Experience:

Supervisor of Open Box Unit at Digikala Company, Feb. 2016-Present

In winter 2016, a project called Open Box was launched to sell refurbished products at Digikala Company, for which I work as the website administrator. Initially, open-box products were sold only inside the company, and ordinary people were not able to buy them. However, after about 4 months of research and troubleshooting the website, the service was made public, and currently, the Open Box website is accessible by everyone two days a month. I work as the website administrator in the company, and coordinate related issues with after-sales service, customer affairs, logistics and marketing units. I am also the supervisor of the unit where test specialists, photographers, editors and contact operators work. My responsibilities also extend to pricing, content and quality control, developing product sale policy, determining sales type, and drawing up guidelines in the Open Box unit of Digikala Company.

I started my career in the after-sales services unit at Digikala Company, the objective of which was to investigate what type of products enter the after-sales services unit, what are their common defects, the customer feedback, and the type of service required, and what is the status of open-box products to set up a specific website for. Those items that are returned to the after-sales services unit within the 7-day Digikala return service period will receive various services. Some of these products with problems, including the packaging, physical or partial defects, are diagnosed as the open-box items, which we aim to sell at a lower price, depending on the extent of damage, on a website operating under Digikala. Therefore, the Open Box project was launched at Digikala.

Lavan is an advertising and marketing center for the Espeero and Farassoo Corporate Group. However, it operates completely independently and works as a professional advertising center, providing consultancy and campaigns to the Iranian and foreign companies. My responsibilities also extend to the creation of physical and digital content, including texts, graphics and infographics, marketing ideas, businesses’ marketing strategies, goal setting, and online and offline marketing.

I worked as an expert of corporate and government, mega-stores and large stores sales, and launched the online sales at Farassoo Company. I also collaborated with more than 35 online stores, including Digikala, Chare, Albasco, Bamilo and other types of online stores over 4 years. As the marketing and online sales director, I launched and created content for, and administrated the social networks of Farassoo and Espeero Corporate Group, directed the offline and online marketing campaigns, created digital content for all the products in line with the objectives of the group, carried out digital marketing campaigns and launched advertising campaigns, directed the online sales and created the content of Lavan stores called MyLavan, and performed all the online tasks of Farassoo and Espeero Corporate Group.

I started my career at Farassoo as a technical expert of after-sales services unit. Farassoo provides one of the best service guarantees in the IT industry; therefore, it was a great opportunity for me to initiate my career. As an expert, senior expert and the after-sales services support supervisor, I was supposed to troubleshoot and repair all types of electronic components and computer accessories, answer customer service calls over the phone and in person, establish direct connections with customers, provide services to organizations and companies, and suggest service solutions to the companies. My four-year presence in the after-sales services unit has enhanced my skills of real-time negotiation, improved my professional behavior towards the customer, and made me more patient while providing services and dealing with customer affairs.
